TYVA Energie can wait to move into its new production site of lithum batteries in the French county of Annonay. A modern and innovative building will allows employees to blossom and the company to grow. A promising future is waiting for the French start-up which quickly expands.
The story begins in 2013 inside Thierry Claudel’s garage when he created his first prototype of modular battery inspired by a famous bricks game: Moduloo 3D.
7 years later and after spending many years at the Grosberty commercial area, TYVA Energie made up of 20 employees moves into its new premises located at 11 rue des Sources, Z.A. Marenton 3 in Annonay, France.
This moving matches with the reception of its brand new automated line allowing the production to settle in October. Offices will move at the beginning of the year.
This new building will finally host the French manufacturer of batteries’ team. There are 1600 m² of total surface harmonized to develop the lithium batteries activity with an annual production capacity of 160 MWh. There are 1200 m² dedicated to production that will host a tests and qualification laboratory as well as a new automated line dedicated to assembling and batteries reconditioning.
On the other hand, 400 m² of new offices are dedicated to R&D activities as well as working and coworking spaces. Furthermore, the company pursues its environmental and ecological dynamic by choosing a self-sufficient in energy building thanks to its many photovoltaic panels and Made in France energy storage batteries.
Welfare at work is rooted inside the company’s values and these brand new luminous and spacious premises were specially designed for professional fulfilment (coworking space, large patio, skylight, japanese garden, etc.)

Despite a sanitary crisis causing a brutal economic downturn, TYVA Energie knew how to get out while the going is good. The company maintained its activity during almost the whole containment time without any short-time work. TYVA Energie constantly innovate to offer quality lithium batteries to its customers. Many partnerships were created such as the iModBatt European project which aims to develop a greener battery with a high energy density with the possibility to be reconditioned – in particular by Renault’s side.
During the lull imposed by the containment period, TYVA Energie doubled its efforts by developing the Research and Development sector. Thus the company is designing new digital services: softwares to optimize batteries and their use as well as their lifetime.
The French company has a continuous growth vision thanks to innovation and the settled goal to commercialize new products every 2 years.
