The Moduloo Ax Xtreme lithium battery is perfect for sectors requiring resistance in extreme environments: defence, electric mobility, marine, etc.
When it comes to electronical products’ sealing, we often use the ingress protection code defined by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). This worldwide acknowledged standard consists in two digits defining a level of protection for electronical devices against the ingress of solid objects like dust, as well as liquids like water or oil.
Therefore, the first digit indicates the level of protection against solid particles on a scale from 0 (no protection) to 6 (dust-tight). Regarding the second digit, it indicates the device’s watertightness on a scale from 0 (no protection) to 9 (protection against close-range high-pressure and high-temperature spray downs). Thus, the higher this digit, the more waterproof the concerned product is.
Accordingly, the IP67 rating assigned to the Moduloo Ax Xtreme lithium battery means it is fully dust resistant (digit 6) as well as protected against 1 meter deep immersion for up to 30 minutes (digit 7).
